The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot that is equipped with smart mapping and app-based no-go zones. Its run time of 180 minutes is impressive. It also self-empties and automatically refills its water tank.
1. Roomba j7+ iRobot from iRobot.
The Roomba J7+, iRobot's most intelligent robot to date, is the Roomba J7+. Its biggest breakthrough is its camera-based obstacle detection system that uses built-in AI to recognize objects like charging cords, shoes, and the dreaded pet waste many other robots are unable to avoid (and often slough through). It's also the first to automatically send you a photo of the object it comes across to let you know to avoid it in the future.
The Combo J7+ is the most efficient mop robot we've ever tested, removing spills and dirt effortlessly without leaving any trace that was there. It's simple to control via the iRobot Home app, which lets you schedule cleaning and create Keep Out Zones to ensure it doesn't clean areas you do not want it to. It's also compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can turn it on and off by speaking to it.
The design is also better than the competition. It features a sleek, high-end piece that looks like a toy rather than a loud and obnoxious robot. The Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal System is self-emptying, which is great to speed up cleaning.
In our tests the j7+ was quick to pick up and remove dust dirt, pet hair and even pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brushes held the debris in place instead of scattering it across the floor. It was able capture small pieces of gravel, sand, and even a bit of grit. Most robots can't accomplish this feat. It did all this without getting caught in our pet's hair.
Although it's not as sophisticated as the $1,217 Roomba s9+ Self-Emptying Vacuum and can't clean stairs, the j7+ is still an excellent choice for those who need both a vac and a mop in their home. It's not expensive and the iRobot app makes it very user-friendly.
The iRobot Home App is easy to use but we found it less reliable as other robotic cleaner apps. It can take a while to download updates and it can be difficult to know if they are working until you actually see them in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you want a robot vacuum cleaner that does more than simply clean your floors then a hybrid is the best choice. This type of robot typically has a built-in water tank, meaning they can both vacuum and mop your home simultaneously. They also have a range of additional features, including smart mapping, small obstacles avoidance and even the ability to wash and dry mopping pads. The negative is that they can be expensive when purchased at full retail, but on Black Friday and Cyber Monday they are often reduced in price.
Roborock makes some of our most loved robot vacuums and the Q5+ is no exception. robotic vacuum cleaner on sale is the cheapest model in their auto-empty line. While it may not come with some of the expensive features (like no-go zones or multi-story memories), it's still an excellent option for those who are willing to make some compromises to save a few dollars.
The Q5+ is notably soft around obstacles like tables and walls and walls, which makes it a great option for homes with a lot of furniture. It's also very thorough when it comes to getting rid of dust bunnies which is a problem where many cheaper robot vacuums can really be a bit sloppy. The navigation technology in the Q5+ is superb too, with very little missed corners and on walls.
The Q5+, just like other Roborock products, can be controlled by only a few buttons on your device, or via the Roborock App. With the app you can begin and stop cleanings, set schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go zones, and modify your home map, or change the labels of rooms.
If you decide to go with the Q5+ model, it ships with a new auto-empty dock specifically designed to make the robot simple to maintain. It requires a screwdriver for install, but once installed, the process of emptying the bin is simple. It features a large LCD screen, which is useful for setting up schedules or altering settings. This feature isn't essential for most people but it can help effectively keep track of the robot's maintenance schedules.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot mop and vacuum that's astonishingly smart in both its vacuuming and mopping capabilities. Its design and features are some of the most advanced available - but it's also pricey.
It's a small base station that looks stunning and is able to be concealed when not in use. But the station's main selling feature is the way it automatizes many tasks and functions that most other robots will leave to you. It stores clean and dirty water, electrolyzes and heats the water (which the majority of other robots require you to do) also emptying the dustbin after vacuuming, and helps keep your robot clean and charged.
And its vacuuming is impressive as well. It's one of the few robot vacuums I've tried that does a really good job of picking up debris on unfinished floors, and it's not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot 900 series.
The Freo X Ultra is not without flaws, especially in the area of navigation. Its laser sensors and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as other robovacs. This means that it could get stuck or get confused in certain corners or rooms in the home. It's not able navigate stairs as well as competitors, for instance and doesn't come with a dock that lets you to create an area for cleaning that is specifically designed for plush carpets.
Although it doesn't provide the same amount of cleaning options available in its app or as many shortcuts in the app like other robovacs the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for anyone looking for an all-around great mop and robot vacuum that's worth the higher price price.
However, if you're looking to save some cash, or just don't care about the limitations of this machine, there are plenty of alternatives available which include a variety of eufy models priced significantly less. The eufy Qrevo curv, for instance, is cheaper however it comes with more features, including the ability to climb stairs and a full-function Dock, which provides an improved overall experience when vacuuming on plain floors, low-pile carpets as well as high-pile carpets.
4. Eufy RoboVac G30
eufy is an Anker company that has a history of producing robot vacuums that have the right combination of features, performance, and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning of hard and carpeted floors, as well as mopping functions for a low cost. It's easy to setup, just snap one of the side brushes on, turn it on, and plug it into the charging dock. The app walks you through the steps needed to connect it to your Wi-Fi. After that, the G30 is ready to go. The dock must be placed close to an outlet that has enough space to move.
The G30 is a small device, measuring 2.85 inches in height, meaning it can be placed under most couches and low-clearance pieces of furniture. Its design is less ostentatious when compared to rival models. It has a sleek black finish and three physical buttons for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs an area in a spiral pattern for two minutes) Recharge, and Spot Cleaner. It is also possible to connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to conduct cleaning without a schedule using voice commands.

The main characteristic that distinguishes the G30 above the rest is the method it cleans. It uses an integrated map to draw a picture of the immovable items in its path. It remembers the items it has cleaned and what it is unable to access. It automatically returns to the base to recharge, and then begins cleaning the area it left.
The elegant G30 has a few flaws. The iRobot Roomba 675 is more constructed, has lower recurring costs, charges more quickly and has the same battery life while offering better performance on bare floors and carpets with a low pile. It also has a larger dust bin that doesn't require to be empty as often and comes with an array of boundaries to ensure it isn't in certain areas. The G30 is more affordable and simpler to maintain. Its smaller container means it doesn't need to be emptied as often and it's less difficulty handling bulky products such as cereal.
